What is the folder path you've added to your system environment variables and what is inside the folder in your file system?
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps;C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\GitHubDesktop\bin;C:\Program Files\Carla-2.5.8-win64\Carla; is the path and it is just the folder i downloaded carla in from the carla github

it loads now but it doesn't let me show gui
it just does nothing when i click that button
carla works fine on its own also
