Hi, quick heads-up in case this isn't already on your radar. OpenAI shuts down `gpt-4.1-nano` on October 23, 2026, three weeks from now. After that, requests that name it fail. In the platform's Graphiti memory, it's the default model for the cross-encoder reranker, so it's used whenever Graphiti memory is on and nobody has set `reranker_model`: - [`copilot/graphiti/config.py:24`](https://github.com/Significant-Gravitas/AutoGPT/blob/f8b0e0a87c38b67f6e6cb21f3ee03ff5584c3588/autogpt_platform/backend/backend/copilot/graphiti/config.py#L24) sets `_DEFAULT_RERANKER_MODEL = "gpt-4.1-nano"`, which becomes the `reranker_model` default at [line 99](https://github.com/Significant-Gravitas/AutoGPT/blob/f8b0e0a87c38b67f6e6cb21f3ee03ff5584c3588/autogpt_platform/backend/backend/copilot/graphiti/config.py#L99) - [`copilot/graphiti/client.py:233`](https://github.com/Significant-Gravitas/AutoGPT/blob/f8b0e0a87c38b67f6e6cb21f3ee03ff5584c3588/autogpt_platform/backend/backend/copilot/graphiti/client.py#L233) puts it into the `LLMConfig` of the `CompatOpenAIRerankerClient` every client is built with By default that goes through OpenRouter, so I'd expect the reranker calls to start failing once OpenAI retires the model, which would quietly degrade warm-context retrieval. It's on the default branch as of October 2. OpenAI's notice is on their [deprecations page](https://developers.openai.com/api/docs/deprecations). How I found it: I maintain [DocsWatcher](https://github.com/jameskomo/docswatcher), an open source scanner that checks code against the deprecation notices providers publish, and I run it over popular open source repositories. Most of what it turns up is model names sitting in lists and price tables, which don't break anything, so I read every hit in real code myself before opening anything. This one looked like a real call to me, but you know your code and I don't, so if I've got it wrong just say so and I'll close this. Nothing to adopt here. I just thought you'd want to know.
