The workaround for this issue is to either set up an Azure KeyVault or manually edit the two parameters.json files and change the databasePassword and sessionSecret parameters to the same value.

That doesn't seem correct, at least from my past research on how that works, the password should be set as part of the release and you don't need KV.

I'll do some more research and check if something else is amiss.

Is there any information I can provide you to assist in this issue?

I could be very wrong in identifying the culprit for this issue. This issue is what seemed to be happening in my eyes to cause this. I did not go to confirm that they keys were actually different, in the Azure portal, but when I change both of those parameters to the same thing, it starts working.

ok, I looked into how secretOrRandomPassword works in the code and you're right, it is going to KV to store/retrieve the password.

I'll find some time to add a KV instance to the infra stack
