Constant reconnects and missed messages about adium

I'm using it with Google Hangouts/GChat. I have started to login to Hangouts just so I don't miss messages and it works as expected.

Is your internet connection stable or are there frequent disconnects and reconnects?

I don't get disconnects per se. I need to check with my internet provider to see if I am getting the proper connectivity. I will report my findings. Also, I had WiFi enabled on my MAC as well as being hard-wired. Turning off the wifi seems to have helped some.

I have started to experience the same issue of reconnects in Google Talk/Hangouts, when using the Adium client on Catalina. The Google Hangouts client works fine on my iPhone but Adium (which has worked fine for years), has over the last month started to have reconnect issues. Now in the past two days everyone shows offline although I can still message them and receive messages. I am wondering if something has changed on the Google end? THis latest offline occurence means that sometimes I don't get messages on the Adium client although they come through to Hangouts on my iPHone just fine. THe web interface is not desirable to me as it is not accessible. Adium is very accessible to me via VOiceOver on the Mac so I would love to keep it going instead of resorting to the iPHone with VOiceOver and Hangouts client!
