this is a know issue

https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=1946

we already tried changing some things on the certificates. but so far it doesn't seem to work.
do you have access to a device which could reliably test this? in case we try out a different solution?

I think my Samsung S test device returns this. Have to check.

i just got off the phone with digicert. they say it's only when we use our certificate in wildcard mode.
i will request a new cert and install it to the servers. as soon as this is live i will ping you here and hope you can test it. thx

we updated the certificates to hold the explicit name if you would be nice enough to test now.

I’ll test tomorrow since I don’t have the device with me today.

Everything seems ok or at least I don’t see any exception anymore so all fine by us!
Thank you for the quick fix.
