I see the point. I will put nested group in the to-do list. Idk when will I have time to implement though. Thank you again for the suggestion!

Hi, thank you for the suggestion. I think this will be confusing for users, so I will not implement this feature. However, I do see that clicking extensions one by one is not convenient compare with copy it from another group. Maybe a feature like copy from another group can leverage the pain a bit? What do you think?

I understand your point but IMHO, adding a "Group" section (in addition to "Extension" and "App" sections, maybe also under them) inside each Group view won't confuse users. However, couldn't you simply add an "Advanced user" or "Nested groups" button in "Options"?
Regarding the copy feature, (thanks for asking my opinion) I appreciate it because it absolutely saves time but could be implemented independently from the nesting one, that would also allow to:

  • organize groups in a collapsible tree view;
  • maybe, add an autostate rule to a group except one or more subgroups.
