The vertex set of the hypercube Q_d is the family of k-long strings of bits. Two strings are connected with an edge if they differ in one bit. A retract of a hypercube is called a median graph, but this is not relevant here. Write an ILP formulation to decide whether a graph G is a retraction of the hypercube. The input should be a hypercube Q_d and a subgraph G of Q_d. You know for each vertex of G its original vertex in Q_d. Make experiments to know how many subgraphs of Q_d are a retraction of Q_d.
