I know, it's hard to remove a device from this plugin the way things are now. I'm planning on making it easier but it will require some work.

Same problem with one shelly plus 1pm.
Also what I figured out is that in the table for removing single devices out of the homebridge cache there is no id shown in the table. Only the name (for example: Shelly Plus 1 PM). It makes it very difficult to find the right device.
Thanks.

I deleted a few shellys, but after reboot the homebridge, all of them are still there. I uninstalled the plugin, delete the devices from the homebridge-cache manually. Then I reinstalled the plugin - without adding a device - an all devices are back.

@alexryd Thanks for your work! Coffee follows.

Hello,

I've got the same problem as already mentioned above.

I'd like to uninstall one device "Shelly 1PM Plus" but even after a complete uninstall and reinstall of the shelly-ng plugin the error is automatically in the log...

Already deleted the devices from cache etc. - no solution for me at the moment.

Does anyone have a solution on how to delete in manually via console etc?

Hello,

I've got the same problem. You can solve it manually:

  1. go to the path /var/lib/homebrigde at your homebridge device
  2. search for the file .shelly-ng.json
  3. open it with the editor an remove the old Shelly-device from the json file.

I've made a backup from the old file before I do it ;-)

After restart the error don't accours anymore.

Hi,

I've an issue like this:

[15/01/2023, 17:41:27] [Shelly NG Plugin] Failed to add discovered device (id: ShellyPlus1PM-CF5XXXX): Unexpected device ID (returned: shellyplus1pm-xxxxxxxx, expected: ShellyPlus1PM-xxxxxxx)

Looks like is case sensitive on device ID but them I change for all small caps and the error continues but stating the opposite.

Anyone else with the same issue?

Thanks!

Hey guys,

Got the same problem but the workaround with file .shelly-ng.json didn't work and I saw a weird thing I removed the devices from the plugin did the workaround but could see the devices in HomeKit and homebridge devices.

So if someone had the same problem and found a way to solve the problem please let me know.

And yes the big workaround ist the removal installation of the plugin.

Best regards
A
