It is possible to use kitty, you only have to specify the path to your
kitty.exe as the location of putty.exe in the options. The only problem then
remaining is that you cannot select your session profiles created in kitty when
you create or edit a SuperPutty session. To be able to do this you have to copy
the registry tree starting from
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\9bis.com\KiTTY\Sessions to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SimonTatham\PuTTY\Sessions. To do this I followed
these steps:
1. Start regedit
2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SimonTatham\PuTTY\Sessions
3. Right click -> Export (to have a backup of my putty sessions)
4. Right click -> Delete
5. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\9bis.com\KiTTY\Sessions
6. Right click -> Export
7. Edit the file created in step 6 and replace all occurences of
HHKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\9bis.com\KiTTY with
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SimonTatham\PuTTY
8. Double click on the edited file to import the sessions into the registry
under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SimonTatham\PuTTY\Sessions

Kitty only seems to add additional registry keys so Putty still finds the keys
it needs and can still be used instead of Kitty (if needed).

Looks like this is an easy one to implement.

1) Update the Putty settings dialog to look for kitty
2) Look at a different registry entry for putty/kitty sessions (thanks breker)

@[email protected]:
In Windows 7 you have to set compatibility mode to Vista for SuperPutty.exe.
After this the Kitty window will be docked. This is not necessary when using
Putty.

I'm using SuperPuTTY with kitty_portable.exe

In this way I've a little problem. KiTTY has the possibility to store all
sessions in folder. But I don't know, how to access this sessions in SuperPuTTY.

Is it not implemented yet or don't you support this feature in SuperPuTTY?
