After implementing AMP, the site shows a place holder. Good enough for the time being

Maybe I should take another look at this, as the timings aren't all that good

Moved to Google Static Maps API for the time being.
- No need for JavaScript
- Fewer requests
- Plays nice with AMP
- one request/response for the whole map versus one for each tile (several requests/responses for the whole map)
Implemented in a handful of commits up to 86d101e
from sampaguide.
