You can use x64 meterpreter since it downgrades the shellcode to a 32 bit process before injecting. You need to use regular meterpreter.

This is not some simple exploit templates where you can just pop in your payload and expect it to work. It's more complicated than that if you even bother to read the MSDN on RDP and available analysis online.
If you are discouraged and give up at this point then this is not for you, or you are probably not at this level yet.
