Woodall et al. (2011) is itself a methodology for calculating biomass in a particular fashion using a suite of models from other publications (e.g., Appendix A). Those publications should be added first, and then some type of "facilitation" can be written that stitches them together in the correct manner. A vignette for this can be made if there is interest.

This sort of "meta modeling" thing happens elsewhere and having some type of structure that handles this would be an interesting feature.

I ultimately think something like the component ratio method is out of scope. It could easily be handled by a separate package that uses allometric as a dependency once the correct models are in place.
