I solved the issue by specifying a hostname in the ecssd_agent.conf.
f.e. https://github.com/tobinski/service-discovery-ecs-dns/blob/master/ecssd_agent.conf

I have a similar problem. The agent can not create an A-Record for the instance
InvalidChangeBatch: RRSet with DNS name ip-10-0-0-010.us-east-2.compute.internal. is not permitted in zone servicediscovery.internal.
Then the other instances can not resolve the domain. How did you resolved it?
