Argh, I always get those bloody wiki page links wrong :-)

spf13-vim seems quite unorthodox in how its files are set up. Could you give me a basic layout of where the files fit in? The documentation is rather long to sift through.

prezto looks like it fits the bill perfectly for installing it as a castle with no home/.

Hey thanks for the quick reply :). I can move all this to SO now if you want so you can close the issue.

FWIW: I think the important bit is here: https://github.com/spf13/spf13-vim/blob/3.0/bootstrap.sh which, having now looked at it, looks like a souped up symlinking script with a bunch of safeguards to prevent people screwing up.
