We discussed this with @rodyhaddad and I think we gonna remove the locals from InjectLazy.

You can do it manually, see #22 (comment).

This "manual way" won't allow for overriding transitive deps (eg. InjectLazy Foo, which depends on Bar which depends on Quax, then you can't override Quax). Can you give me a real app example for this scenario? (see #22 (comment))

The problem with InjectLazy locals is exactly what you are running into. It makes it very hard to understand - you will commonly get into this trouble where some of the locals is not used, because it overrode a dependency of something that was not TransientScope. We had a very long discussion about forcing new instances (see #38 and https://gitter.im/angular/di.js) and came to conclusion that we should throw an error (in the case where a dependency is shorter life scope).
