Assigning this to myself due to lack of activity. I am just removing the schema catalog for now. We can add a getSchema API once there is a use for one. I want to keep the interfaces lean for our first release to minimize any future breaking changes.

@coded9 I've already taken care of what we need for now. If you have a usecase for getting just the schema from the sources, you can open another issue for that. I will close this issue though since we have simplified the existing interface to remove the schema catalog
