Does this dns server work over the public internet or only as a local network dns server? about minidyndns

I'm using the server over the internet. But for that to work you have to delegate a public domain or subdomain to the DNS server. I've wrote a post on how to do that here: http://arkanis.de/weblog/2015-11-27-build-your-own-dyndns

Thank you @arkanis , I have followed the tutorial and delegated a public subdomain to the DNS server. Still no sucess. I am trying to telnet to the dns server ar post 53, I get this:

Connecting To 109.109.109.109 (my server's ip) ... Could not open connection to the host, on port 53: Connect failed

Seems that post 53 is closed.

It was an OpenSUSE firewall thing, now it's working. I had to add this rule:

iptables -A INPUT -m state --state NEW,ESTABLISHED,RELATED -p udp --dport 53 -j ACCEPT
