This is rather awkward. This was pretty much always a feature but it broke when I changed some unrelated stuff. It just have been months without me realizing this. Annotations are shown again with 67da265.
The current implementation shows the annotations of the current move a player has to make and the annotation of the opponents previous move. This is shown during the "learning" phase where arrows are shown. Later they are hidden again.
