Hi, I was wondering if there is the possibility of making custom wavelet functions such as - [ ] Haar - [ ] Mexican Hat - [ ] The db family - [ ] And custom functions Maybe some structure like the one used in `pywavelet` but adapted to a sphere. This will make it muche easier to try different wavelets and adapt the use case of the code
Thanks for the comments @PhyAMR but these wavelets are not part of the scale-discretised family of wavelets and there are not natural extensions of all of these wavelets on the sphere. In addition, `s2let` has been superseeded by [`s2wav`](https://github.com/astro-informatics/s2wav), which implements the same underlying scale discrised wavelets on the sphere but natively in Python with JAX, thus providing support for automatic differentiation and GPU acceleration. `s2wav` is also reasonably well documented (see [documentation here](https://astro-informatics.github.io/s2wav/)). Due to the new code we won't be extending `s2let` any further. Hopefully `s2wav` should meet your needs!
