Getting this too. Also failing while trying to install via apm
from bracket-matcher.
There are a couple packages currently published that only work with master builds of Atom, this is because Atom is in the process of upgrading to Chrome 36/Node 0.11.13 and these packages ship with Atom.
Bracket matcher 0.50 that shipped with the latest version of Atom 0.120.0 should be sufficient to use, there were no features added or bugs fixed in 0.51, just upgraded dependencies to work against Atom master branch.
If you delete ~/.atom/packages/bracket-matcher
, then the bundled version that comes with Atom will be used.
I'm going to close out this issue since there are two workarounds until Atom 0.121 is out, either build your own version of Atom, or use the bundled version of bracket-matcher that comes with Atom and don't install it explicitly to ~/.atom/packages
.

@kevinsawicki TBH the only functionality I am looking for is the highlighting of closing tags. Is this the only place to get that functionality, and if not, how do I enable it?

@Lucaska this package provides it and comes bundled with Atom, so you shouldn't need to apm install
it.
