Does that happen consistently or only when splitting certain files?

It seems to no longer be happening. It was happening consistently when splitting any file. Wish I could be of more help. :/

The spell check package was updated to remove deprecations since the version this issue was reported against, 0.44.
This may have fixed this issue since totally different APIs are now used. I'm going to close this out, please comment if you see it happen again.
