Those new input types aren't supported by IE9 or Android's browser < 4.4, so I think we'll have to wait awhile before merging this, or implement some kind of JavaScript stub, but that's probably overkill for something small like this.

@iandunn as @Zodiac1978 already mentioned. You can absolutely use the new types email and url, as all ancient browser just fallback to type text. But for smartphone users, it's a huge increase in usability and accessability. So it's acutally "you must use" them.
Just check out my pull request which fixing the issue.
