Tried, still the same error. Can it be because i installed 6.1.2? With 5.1.1 it worked

@albyvar yes... I believe it has something to do with the exploit from 6+. 6.1.6 is still signed, just go there.

How did you create a custom IPSW for 6.1.2?

I have not tested iOS 6.x yet, because redsn0w and PwnageTool don't create custom IPSWs for it. For now, I can only confirm it works with versions mentioned in JAILBREAK-GUIDE, which are 3.1, 3.1.2, 3.1.3, 4.0, 4.3.3, 5.0.1, 5.1, 5.1.1.

sn0wbreeze might work for additional versions, but I did not test it.

For now, ipwndfu can only install alloc8 exploit after restoring a 24Kpwn IPSW. Installing 6.1.6 and then attempting to install alloc8 won't work, for now.

I have not tested sn0wbreeze, so I don't know if any sn0wbreeze 6.x IPSWs work yet.

I'm working on a tool to create my own custom IPSWs, bypassing the need to use PwnageTool, redsn0w, or sn0wbreeze, and supporting all versions of iOS. Once it is ready, you will be able to simply create a custom IPSW and restore in pwned DFU Mode.
