I figured it out.
Something about the update to Ubuntu messed with venv. I had to apt install it again.
Then went thru the whole install instructions and it was all better. Sorry for your time.

Can you detail how you installed the bot?
Did you create a virtual environment (venv)?

I followed the instructions for Manual install Stable release (recommended).
This had been working fine for months.
Then all I did was a do-release-upgrade
Noticed the bot wasnt working. Tried to reinstalled the deps.
I believe this might have something to do with python 3.10

Ok. I will try to upgrade to 3.10 as well to see if I can reproduce this.

yes, some system upgrade can mess-up the venv.
Python have a command to fix that : python3 -m venv --upgrade venv
