oh actually this is a mistake - I did it in order to use es2017 specs (including async / await) natively without nasty typescript transpile, but for that >8.10 will be sufficient.
I'll push the patch soon.

Are you able to tag this and push as 2.7.1? Using the master branch in package.json i.e. "dynamo-types": "balmbees/dynamo-types#master", for whatever reason is causing other issues
also btw the npmjs site for this page https://www.npmjs.com/package/dynamo-types has lost its link back to this github repo
