Transition in adaptive_lighting.apply only works once about adaptive-lighting

Ah, this is somewhat unavoidable because you manage your lights with Adaptive Lighting already. The fix for you is simpler though. Just do

- service: switch.turn_off
  entity_id: switch.adaptive_lighting_name
- service: adaptive_lighting.apply
  data:
    ...
- delay: "00:30:00"  # lenght of transition
- service: switch.turn_on
  entity_id: switch.adaptive_lighting_name

or

- service: adaptive_lighting.set_manual_control
  data:
    entity_id: switch.adaptive_lighting_name
    manual_control: true
    lights: ...
- service: adaptive_lighting.apply
  data:
    ...
- delay: "00:30:00"  # lenght of transition
- service: adaptive_lighting.set_manual_control
  data:
    entity_id: switch.adaptive_lighting_name
    manual_control: false
    lights: ...
