And if you're running on Windows, you can run the following two commands (important: from the root folder of the project):

1. SET PYTHONPATH=.
2. streamlit run chat_with_retrieval/chat_with_documents.py

Can you try and check what happens when you add a __init__.py file to the chat_with_retrieval directory? It can be an empty python script

1.the langchain version is: Version: 0.1.12
2. I added the the init.py file to the chat_with_retrieval directory. The error message is still: ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'chat_with_retrieval'

Hi @WilsonAmadeoPerez. Thanks for checking the LC version. The script probably wouldn't work with 0.1.12. The version in the book is 0.0.284. The import error (ModuleNotFoundError) should be something very basic though. I think the command should be this:
PYTHONPATH=. streamlit run chat_with_retrieval/chat_with_documents.py
