Not sure if it's supported by the original Markdown. One way is to use the form <[email protected]> or <mailto:[email protected]>.

Actually I'm talking about the []() uri syntax and it's supported by the original Mardown. You can try it yourself on daringfireball.net. Below a screenshot:

That's a problem with PageDown library which escapes the : characters. Will fix it asap.
