Interesting .... I thought our extremely solid feature detection would handle anything a new browser could throw at it.

I fixed this in the latest syn. However, I'm not super happy with it. Essentially FF only writes chars if the element is focused. So, on keypress, I focus on the element.

A much better solution would be to implement a 'focus' helper in Syn that would record the currently focused element. This would only focus if the current element wasn't already focused.

Syn already has an idea of activeElement. This needs to be woven into this fix.

But, this should work for you.

the element isn't in the page? This isn't something Syn will support. Also, all qUnit tests pass in FF4, many of them write to elements.
