It takes more than I thought, I've opened issues in sails-mysql & sails-postgresql that will hopefully help me come up with a solution.

Hi @oliveiraa, if you could +1 the issues, that would be great, not really getting any response from the sailsjs guys.

Was this resolved? Or simply closed? I'm also having the same issue.

guys,
since we're having a really really hard time trying to make waterline work(and if i might say, it's 99% not our fault) and the fact that it's constantly changing, breaking, and has a really poor documentation.

I'm to the point of thinking about switching to some other data persistence layer, it will still integrate smoothly with sails, but the migrations will be written in a different language.(say sequelize)
(this is after spending about 7 days debugging waterline)
how do you guys feel about that?

ddaws avatar ddaws commented on September 7, 2024

I support using Sequelize if it will streamline the development. The goal for me isn't to stick to Waterline as much as possible, but to be able to quickly migrate my databases. πŸ‘

πŸ‘ I am excited to try this. I have some major changes to the domain models of a sails project to make this week so I shall report back.
