It’s not well documented, but there’s a release-chrome-stable build on Docker that works with mp4. Give that a shot and let me know if it doesn’t work

They tend to keep in step with the latest versions due to how quickly they’re implementing features in the remote protocol. Once features land, they appear in chromium first and progress onward, which is why chromium is bundled alongside it.

Since chromium doesn’t come bundled with the appropriate libs for mp4 a stable revision has to be targeted in order to have working video. Right now [email protected] is a close match to chrome-stable, fwiw.

Hope that helps, going to close the issue since you’re all set

Great! That means I just have to do this docker pull browserless/chrome:release-chrome-stable ?

It works! Thanks a lot.
Just to understand, why puppeteer is not built with Chrome by default? what's the difference?

@joelgriffith Does the Chromium tags works also when using Chrome?
