SO many projects trying to get different languages to compile to javascript. how about getting javascript or a variation of it to run on the BEAM. ELixir got ruby (a variation at least ) on the BEAM. i think that would have bigger value given the number of people already writing JS in node and the browser and also looking for more performant platforms to move to from node
