Hm yeah that will probably be a big issue. I am currently reworking the code base a bit to see what we can achieve there. I have some ideas around improving the cache logic to resume partial failures...let's see where it leads ;)

I looked into the code base and saw that it is a bit more complex than I expected, so I decided not to continue down that path. Wrote a small POC based on your code. If you're interested, it's here: https://github.com/aeneasr/github-trends

The idea is nice, but I think the problem with that would be the rate limits... even being repo-based we already hit rate limits a lot...
