Naming about connect

Although it goes inline with the idea of our product using note instead of a post would be cool. This would be cool and only that, practicality of using note over post could lead to confusion and poor user experience.

In my opinion it makes sense to use the these names. Group, Post, Comment and Account can't be replaced by another word because these are words that are tried and true for not only this product space but other product spaces. They have rich and vibrant definitions that tie deeply into the core functionality and idea of Connect.

Let's break these down one at a time:

Group: I feel attached to group rather than a server. Which ultimately allows me to feel like I
am in a better space. It's interesting how words make us feel different emotions.

Post: This could however be replaced with conversation, only because it's a conversation starter. I do however like Post over conversation for the same reasons you do.

Comment: irreplaceable change my mind :)

Member: You are a member of a group. We could come up with a unique proprietary new "word" to describe members of a Connect Group but this could impact us negatively looking from the outside in.

Account: This makes sense it's a container for all of your user information. This is your Account and it's extremely common.

Follow: I like follow because I am familiar with it. Medium sticks out to me immediately when thinking about following posts.

Feed: Perfect name

Inbox: This could really be a catch all and notifications can be a subset of information found in your inbox.
