Currently have found:

UriResolverContext
These types of things should be avoided at all costs for long term maintainable programming. They are essentially global variables that can be modified across a JVM from one application to another. For example if appA sents up its URI's for resolving and appB does its with some conflicting information within the same Jetty/Tomcat, then one of them may override the configurations of the other.
Each of these requires a different fix. If you want a singleton instance, then you shouldn't make it configurable by anyone. If you want to make it configurable then let the applications hold on to their own instances.

Agreed. I'm for making these instantiatable... so long as no functionality is lost.
