Yeah, that's expected, basically when using a sting or heredoc its
impossible for us to correctly shell escape it. If you could point us at
the place where you would expect that to be documented, we should be more
transparent about that. It is in the Capistrano README and also noted in
the SSHKit examples already, but obviously not prominently enough.

In the execute, if you have a string or hereto, the surrounding blocks are

Was that done intentionally? Kind of like if you don't use a symbol to
start the command line statement, you don't get any syntactical sugar? I
wasn't sure if this is really an issue that you're interested in but I have
a usecase for this and it seems like others could too.My case is like below:
on 'google.com' do
within release_path do
execute <<-SCRIPT bundle exec build.mysql2 --with-mysql-include=/blah/blah bundle exec build.nokogiri --with-xml-lib=/blah/blah SCRIPT
endendThanks for taking a look at this.

I just read the capistrano README again and I don't see it. I get the decision and would like to note it somewhere in the capistranorb.com. Keep an eye out for a pull request.

Nevermind, after reading for a good place to put it, I found it in the release notes. Thanks for your reply.
