Self-explanatory. Looks good. I'm not a big fan of the font, but I'm not sure if you're asking for an opinion on that. Any combination of fonts that you've used so far would be great (the website fonts as you have them now look good to my eye). This new one looks a bit too sketchy and unprofessional (that might be too harsh of a word, but you get the idea).

Ha...yeah that bit of unprofessional / untamed is actually what we're going for. We want to bring a really friendly vibe and let it feel a little sketchy. More our own style, and I think it'll also be a nice way to communicate who we are. And with the experience being smoother overall it'll hopefully be more "playful" than "amateur" for new folks.

That can be a fine line, but I trust you all will walk it well! :)

Is there a reason that the only other login is Mozilla? This may be part of a bigger discussion, but would having a Facebook login tie-in allow for users to login and setup an account quicker? This may take the step out of verifying your email.

Mostly just because I like the open login system Persona brings. We talked about Facebook but so many people use trash email accounts that it might be rough, or force quick changes. Google might make a little sense as a gmail login would give you the nice verified email and we can also ask gdrive permissions at the same time.

Unsure if there is a password reset page update, but the existing page buttons (cancel, send it) could possibly be switched (send it, cancel) and seperate styles for each. It may result in some accidental clicks.

Re: Google Login. Brilliant idea. Perhaps the login with a Google Account could streamline the setup with Drive and remove additional steps. I dig it.

I really like the explicit description of why you might want to use an external service for authentication. Too many sites just say "Log in with X, Y, or Z" without it being clear why that might be beneficial. If you extend this to Google, Twitter, Facebook, or others, I'd continue this pattern and make it super clear what you're syncing over beyond just initial authentication (if anything).

Oh yeah I like that idea. Maybe even something like the reverse of an OAuth dialog: a pop-up saying "While you're at it we can also get permission for you to authorize your Google Drive for use with the platform..."

Hey! Sorry to chime in late on this. Three suggestions.

First, as much as it pains me to say this because I personally think it's cool, you may want to not overlay the dog image over the form element. The yellow in the image and the gray background are similar in terms of contrast (squint your eyes, you'll see). So when you overlay the form's microtext, you're stacking low contrast on top of something else that's low contrast. This might be really hard for people with low-visibility issues to see. I'd float them next to each other.

Second, I would consider moving the "Login" button to the right, to make sure that it's following a traditional UI pattern. I'd also move the "reset your password" option right underneath that, so they know to look in one place for their login options.

Third: I like the big font but I would remove the colon. Headlines following AP or Yahoo! style don't use punctuation at the end. I would also maybe reconsider the use of "Or" for microcontent that's more explanatory.

Yeah I've been in "justification" mode with the gray label on top of the yellow seal — pretty much my standard MO every time I know I"m wrong about something I like. I'll rework that. We've been using the seal in a different way elsewhere, so it should be easy to get it right.

Interesting about the login button. Previous versions had it to the right, as expected, and we got a bunch of complaints. But that interface had additional login options to the far right so it may have just been the confusing layout in general affecting things. I'll move it over and try it out.

Cool. The only way to really know if it's going to work as intended is to
test the task itself with something like Zurb's Verify or Usabilla.

Here is what I meant by moving around the buttons & images, BTW:
