I changed with version 0.2.2 but didn't solve the issue. When I build the project (when gradle.build overrides the manifest file) the application tag is removed from manifest. After build manifest looks like:

    android:versionName="0.2.2"
    package="fr.castorflex.android.smoothprogressbar">

    <uses-sdk
        android:minSdkVersion="7"
        android:targetSdkVersion="19" />

Yes that's normal. But that should work.
This seems to be a problem with the android gradle plugin. Until it's fixed you can import "physically" the project by cloning it and modifying the build.gradle in the library folder from targetSdkVersion 19 to targetSdkVersion 17

Just a question. you don't you use target api 19?

We use robolectric for testing and it doesn't work with 19. That's why I need a target api lover than 19.
