Version 3.0.0 of pretty-print-json drops support for the older CommonJS require()
imports. If you need CommonJS support, use the UMD file from version 2.1.2. Version 2.1.2 and version 3.0.0 have exactly the same features.
Depending on your situation, you may want to consider upgrading to ES Modules. ES Modules were introduced with ES6 in 2015. It's been a painfully slow transition, but ES Modules are clearly the future.
