I'm also voting for this feature. This is a great feature I've been looking for ages. Sometimes you get that one person which goes into crazy mode tweeting only crapish content.

As this same person is mostly tweeting nice content, it wouldn't be so nice to just unfollow him/her. Yes, one could unfollow and then follow again sometime alter, but most of the time you won't remember to go back and start following him/her again.

Being able to hide tweets matching a custom keyword or regex would solve this problem nicely.

I added this a while ago, but my pull request was ignored. https://github.com/rcfox/chromed_bird

You enter a regex to filter unwanted content. For example, mine contains: 4sq.com|posted a photo|I liked a YouTube video|#deals

My version was last updated December 27, but I can merge to head if you like.
