Getting Started

These instructions will get you a copy of the project up and running on your local machine for development and testing purposes. See deployment for notes on how to deploy the project on a live system.

Prerequisites

What things you need to install the software and how to install them

1. Build Your Machine

 a. sudo apt-get update
 b. sudo apt-get install python3-pip apache2 libapache2-mod-wsgi-py3

Installing

A step by step series of examples that tell you how to get a development env running

Install Virtual Enviornment Using Pip

1. Install your enviornment wrapper using virtual enviornment
  
 a. sudo pip install virtualenv


2. Create Python Virtual Enviornment

 a. python3 -m venv venv


3. Activate your virutal enviornment to begin install Django and Dependencies

 a. source myprojectenv/bin/activate

* Obviously make sure you have created the directory that will host your app.

Install Django and Django REST Framework Using Pip

1. pip install django djangorestframework

Create Requirements File

1. pip freeze > requirements.txt

To startup the Django Project, you'll need to initialize it. I named my project Quora.

Run: django-admin startproject Quora
