Failed to initialize Tesseract. about tesseract

Already fixed it myself.. I had to reboot after deleting the TESSDATA_PREFIX =/

@wesleydonk Same thing happend to me the other day, but this was a fresh install without tesseract. Installed tesseract, and then uninstalled (removed the environment variable) rebooted and everything works. Has to be a wierd dependency issue somewhere.. Have you encountered this problem since?

Umm interesting, I know that there are issues if the TESSDATA_PREFIX environment variable exists since tesseract will incorporate the prefix when it's trying to resolve the data directory. I believe this is hard coded so your pretty much screwed if tesseract is installed using the msi. I wasn't aware of any issues however if the msi hadn't been installed so I'll quickly check this out latter when I have a look at generating the NuGet packages.

@charlesw Let me know if you find out anything. If you're unsucessfull i probably find the bug and send an upstream patch to the tesseract people.

Ok, I finally got answer. Just run set TESSDATA_PREFIX=
It'll totally remove that variable.
