It utilizes a virtual channels in the network to intentionally misroute vertical traffic in a non-minimal path scheme to distribute traffic load across the NoC thereby increasing the throughput. Used a C++ library called SystemC which provides an event driven simulation interface to simulate a C++ implementation of an NoC model called Access Noxim to implement the algorithm.
