Hi everyone

I ran into the same issue and I solved it by using NodeRed and basically doing the regulation by myself (while using the control objects of Circadian). Which means that I ended up creating a function which sends two parameters to the bulb containing one the brightness value and the other the color value. I apply the values with a timed delay (according the transition period) and it works mostly fine.

Same issue with deconz and ikea lights

Is there any workaround for this? I tried setting the transition to 0 but as you said there is a bug that makes CL send 10 for some reason.

EDIT: Found this, which suggests there is a workaround in place in Home Assistant itself: home-assistant/core#28949

But still, the issue is there in CL. I tried changing color and brightness at the same time with a straight service call and it worked. What gives?

In regards to the transition - the CL logs show it sending transition 10 even when 0 is set? There's no reason that should be happening unless HA is doing something behind the scenes.

I have lights in deconz, so that's not the issue. It definitely seems to just be that the Ikea bulbs have garbage firmware. I would strongly urge users with those bulbs to contact Ikea and complain because ultimately you'll just keep running into issues with various integrations. Or just spend a little more to get bulbs that work perfectly.

It definitely shouldn't be the case that you can send both in a service call but that CL can't. Can you post one of the CL log lines for an adjustment that failed and also the exact service call that worked?
