I think this is caused by the issue being discussed here: https://groups.google.com/group/nrepl-el/browse_thread/thread/26971a4e4717189a
In general I wouldn't expect completion to work without first compiling the buffer, but we shouldn't give a huge stack trace.

@ska2342, please close this ticket is the problem is resolved. I see the upstream nREPL issue has been fixed.

The issue at hand can be closed, since I don't see the NPE anymore. Nevertheless I still have to load the namespace to get things like completion and M-. working. But that's probably better dealt with in another issue.
