Hmmm? I think you're misinterpreting something. anything_status does
not return successfully if the pid file isn't found. It returns
$OCF_NOT_RUNNING. anything_stop does return $OCF_SUCCESS when
the pid file is not there. As far as I can see, both functions'
behavior is correct.

@dmuhamedagic, you seem to disagree. What am I missing?

Removing the pid file and then invoking anything_status definitely makes no sense. I didn't consider what are the consequences yet. According to your analysis, it seems like that the RA would just consider that after kill -s 9 the process exited. Normally, that should be the case, but there could be exceptions.
