Monitor declares rebooting vm as failed about resource-agents

This is a serious issue which may lead to data loss. Which resource agents are you referring to? Which hypervisor? Note that there's #314 which is a fix for the Xen RA.

Sorry. I missed the first message. I am using the Xen RA from SLES 11 SP3. The SLES package is resource-agents-3.9.5-0.28.7 and the hypervisor is xen-4.2.2_06-0.7.1. I agree that this is a serious issue. It has cost me 3 vms already. Thankfully none that had unrecoverable data.

I will test your new Xen RA in my lab today or tomorrow and let you know. I see some messages on the mailing as well about start failing if there is a running vm and this worries me as well as that would force the cluster to try to start on a different node almost gauranteeing that you get duplicate vms.

As I mentioned in a reply, the start failures have the same
source as the monitor issue.

BTW, you can get a PTF for SLE11SP3.

PTF stands for program temporary fix, in this case a package with this fix is provided for SUSE customers.
