The argument to Independent must be a Simple Vector class; see the documentation for VectorAD on
https://coin-or.github.io/CppAD/doc/independent.htm

Perhaps you can use Eigen to create a view of epsilon that makes it look like a simple vector ?

Otherwise, you will have to start with a vector, declare it as the independent variables, and then copy the values into a tensor (this may be the easier way to understand the code).

Oh, I'm sorry, that had nothing to do with Tensor at all. Just tested by declaring the independent as a vector and it works fine, thank you.
