@geektan123 Thanks a lot for the screencast! As you can see, the picture preview is shown, the app is even able to anlyze it to tell that it lacks EXIF location and is too dark, but in the end somehow it can not access the file. Hopefully you can find where is the bug. :-)

@Discostu36: I think there are very high chances that it is the same or similar issue, if not we can try to address them one after the other. Thanks :-)

I am not sure that this is the same issue, as I don't remember a "file not found" error (hence the "fails silently"). It is, of course, possible, that I just missed it.

ok but it is an issue the user is not able to upload the photo .

@geektan123: You should put breakpoints in Android Studio and see what code is executed, especially shortly before the error message appears.
