Happened to me as well during testing of Podman 5 RC6. It is all about having this triggered from dashboard. I am not sure but it differs from Settings -> Resources -> Create New Podman Machine path.

I do not reproduce on windows 11, with podman machine v5.0.1

@axel7083 With 5.0.2 Windows 10 I also could not reproduce.
So I tried 4.9.4. It also was alright. I am curious whether we will see the issue during testing then. If not, we can close.
